Intro & Aims

The aim of this hypnosis session is to condition the feelings of relaxation and calmness to a specific action. So whenever you need to feel relaxed and calm, you can use that same action, and you instantly connect to feelings of relaxation and calmness.

This technique is called an anchor in neurolinguistic programming NLP. An anchor is a technique where you condition a sensory stimulus, to a positive feeling or state of mind. In this case we are going to condition touching your right thumb and right index finger together to the feelings of relaxation and calmness.

So touching your right thumb and right index finger together is like a trigger to connect with feelings of relaxation and calmness.

It can be a useful skill to learn. So at times of stress or anxiety or irritation or frustration or anger, you can touch your right thumb and right index finger together and instantly feel relaxed and calm.

It does take practise to condition this. And the more you practise this, the stronger the effect becomes for you.

Many professional sports people, or people who need to be in a peak performance state of mind, use anchors to help them achieve their peak performance.

There are many other different forms of anchors. For example, anchors to other states of mind, like confidence or excitement or success or focus or determination.

In this session, we are conditioning an anchor specifically for relaxation and calmness.
